FARM KIDS | SPRING SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS

The kids will love getting their hands dirty in our fun and interactive school holiday workshops, learning about sustainable agriculture and making new friends!

FRIDAY, 22 SEPTEMBER | BEES
9am - 3pm | $130 | Ages 5 to 12 Years

Everyone will be buzzing after creating beeswax candles and cooking their own honey pikelets as they learn about the importance of bees!


MONDAY, 25 SEPTEMBER | PIGS
9am - 3pm | $130 | Ages 5 to 12 Years

They’ll be as happy as pigs in mud learning all about pigs in this hands-on school holiday workshop, crafting their own pig keyring and cooking a ham & cheese toastie using farm fresh bread!

 

TUESDAY, 26 SEPTEMBER | NATURE CRAFT
9.30am - 12.30pm | $75 | Ages 5 to 12 Years

After a tour of The Farm, we’ll forage in the gardens for items to help us craft and create nature bubble wands and masks.


WEDNESDAY, 27 SEPTEMBER | CHICKENS
9am - 3pm | $130 | Ages 5 to 12 Years

We’ll learn all about healthy chickens and eggs as we cook an omelette with fresh garden herbs and upcycle the eggshells from our cooking to make egg heads with watercress hair!


THURSDAY, 28 SEPTEMBER | NATIVE BEES
9.30am - 12.30pm | $75 | Ages 5 to 12 Years

Following a tour of The Farm, we’ll check the native bee hives and discus the job of a native bee. We’ll also make a tin can and bamboo bee house and a natural lip balm with beeswax and honey to take home!


FRIDAY, 29 SEPTEMBER | COWS
9am - 3pm | $130 | Ages 5 to 12 Years

In this interactive workshop, the kids will learn all about cows and animal welfare, before learning to make butter and an assortment of cow-themed crafts!


MONDAY, 2 OCTOBER | LAVENDER
9am - 3pm | $130 | Ages 5 to 12 Years

We’ll discuss the different types of lavender, their benefits and healing powers before sitting down to make our own lavender bags for for under our pillows, lavender bath bombs and a DIY lavender cleaning spray.


TUESDAY, 3 OCTOBER | FRUIT
9.30am - 12.30pm | $75 | Ages 5 to 12 Years

In a tour of The Farm, we’ll identify the different types of fruit that grow in our gardens and taste some unusual fruits. We’ll then make fresh fruit smoothies and do some fruit printing art to take home!

 

WEDNESDAY, 4 OCTOBER | BENEFICIAL BUGS
9am - 3pm | $130 | Ages 5 to 12 Years

The kids will love learning about ecosystems in this hands-on school holiday workshop! We’ll go on a bug hunt, plant some bug attracting plants in our Farm Kids plot and get creative, making bug magnets to take home.

 

THURSDAY, 5 OCTOBER | FLOWERS
9.30am - 12.30pm | $75 | Ages 5 to 12 Years

We’ll explore The Farm, learning about different types of flowers and their purpose. We’ll also discuss pollination and edible flowers before creating a pocket flower press and a jar of botanical bath salts.
